Experience:

Sunil Ahuja has a broad range of experience covering the last 30 years. During his four years as an Export Marketing Officer for Gramophone Co. of India, he was responsible for new business development and sales in North and South America, Africa and the Far East. He increased sales by 600% in Kenya and exceeded other sales targets on African export sales tour. While with Brown Boveri Control Systems as Production Control Manager, he established the firm's first production control department while increasing production rate by 1000%. As a Materials Manager at American Cimflex Corporation, he established the first materials management department, implemented a computerized MRP II system, and as a member of the purchasing team, enabled the company to compete against Japanese robot vendors by reducing materials cost of the robot product line by 40% in six months. Sunil then became Manager of Information Systems and Contracts redesigning and implementing divisional financial reporting, project monitoring, and manufacturing operations systems producing significant increases in operational efficiency and information access. He also designed and implemented a project management system for quoting, budgeting, and financial tracking. During his five years with Ellwood City Forge, both as an Operations Analyst and as Director of Management Information Services, Sunil conceived and implemented transformation of division's mini-computer and 3GL-based information systems to a client-server, 4GL and relational data base environment. He led a re-engineering project for job quotation and order entry systems, designed to reduce processing time from weeks to hours. He was also a key member of a team that completed an ERP system implementation and conversion project, previously ongoing for two years, in 3 months, focusing on capacity planning, scheduling, and finance.

Sunil has held consulting positions with Hologix, Inc., J. D. Edwards World Solutions Co., Indigo Systems Consulting, and Deloitte & Touche. In his association with these companies, he has aided in the development of education policy; performed project management, planning and analysis functions for a scheduling system development project; led an Indo-US consulting team in developing a comprehensive information systems requirements plan for a 3m ton integrated steel producer in India; developed a program implementation process and project plan for a new venture marketing demand management program to managed health care organizations. He was also responsible for managing multiple ERP systems projects implementing J.D. Edwards' One World software on client-server systems, as well as for developing implementation proposals and estimates. As Project Manager for a Professional Services Automation Software selection project with Deloitte & Touche, he researched the PSA market, developed system requirements, vendor RFI, shortlist, and an application demonstration-scoring model. As Project Manager for Forward Look 2000, an internally developed, Internet based, Resource Management System, he led a team of eight consultants that completed a regional implementation in two months.
