Experience:
David Skinner has been providing consulting and training to organizations for over 10 years. His experience spans manufacturing, banking, healthcare and government. David is recognized nationally for his expertise in lean production and the 5S approach to workplace organization. He has written, consulted, and lectured widely on the lean approach to process improvement and how to apply lean principles in non-manufacturing and administrative environments.
In 1999 he authored a book titled Sheet Metal Made Lean and Clean for the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractor's National Association. In 1998 he co-founded an information exchange group that has grown and evolved to become the Greater Phoenix Lean Manufacturing Benchmarking Council.
David's clients include the City of Mesa, Arizona, Avnet, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Kinetics, the Foundation for Medical Care and Gilbert Engineering. David has served for six years as an examiner for the Arizona State Quality Awards and for five years as a senior examiner for the Arizona state government "Spirit of Excellence" Awards. He has taught courses in quality management at Paradise Valley Community College and has served as a board member for the Valley of the Sun chapter of the Association for Quality and Participation.
