During George's 40-year career with Motorola, he held a number of positions including Manufacturing Engineering Leader, Engineering Section Manager, Project Planning Manager, Division Manager Incentive Programs and Training Operations, Director of Consulting and Training Services, and, most recently, Director of Motorola University's Latin American operations. He conducted feasibility studies for automated storage/retrieval systems; implemented a corporate-wide Participative Management Incentive Program; organized the relocation of an engineering and manufacturing facility with over $300M in sales, reduced process operations in the new manufacturing facility by over 70%; savings exceeded $3.6 million. He also developed, staffed, and implemented a comprehensive training organization that became the benchmark at Motorola for excellence in education, saving over $2.3 million in annual training expenditures. George also developed and directed a task force to prove true productivity gains in off-shore facilities over U.S. facilities. He established and directed an external consulting practice specializing in business techniques, cycle time reduction, and quality improvement techniques serving both internal and external markets.
