During his 8 years with Continental Group (Paper and Plastic Consumer Products), he was instrumental in a successful new plant start up as well as contributed to de-certification for bargaining unit. As Production Manager for Autotron Products for Automotive Aftermarket Products, he improved gross margin by eliminating manual tasks. During his 6 years with Geosource, among other things, he started a new seismic cable manufacturing plant, improved first-pass quality acceptance from 85% to 97% and increased market share from 31% to 45%, decreased inventory and increased inventory turns, and successfully introduced four new products. While at Repro Specialty Coatings as Sales and Marketing Manager for Diazo Paper & Film, he increased sales by 27% and assisted in developing a national advertising program. He increased gross margin from 22% to 32% and increased on-time delivery performance from 68% to 87% for Ultratek as Production Manager of Membrane Switches. During the last 13 years with Compaq Computer Corporation as Manufacturing Manager and Supervisor of Circuit Boards and Computers, he achieved a record for external factory audit point pass rate, established a record for new portable unit start-up throughput, doubled options business throughput while shrinking manufacturing space, and established throughput records for new circuit boards.
