Experience:
Max began his career in Wichita Kansas working with the Aircraft industry, most prominent with Boeing Military Airplane Company where he spent 14 years in management positions in the new business development arena for all Boeing Government-use aircraft. Specific attention was placed on the development of current training materials, advancement of industry/sector skills, and the publication of relevant, technical information. While there, he was selected to represent Boeing for eight years on the National Estimating Society (NES) Board of Directors. His highest achievement was to be elected as the President in 1981.
Max then moved to Motorola's Government Electronics Group, Strategic Electronics Division as a Senior Contract Manager, focusing efforts on new product introductions of strategic space electronic communications products for both the military and industrial marketplace and pioneered standardized new product proposal systems, allowing Motorola to sell space-based communications solutions in 90 days from request for quote to contract. As Group Staff-Estimating Systems Manager, Max managed a cross-division team of engineers, estimators and finance specialists in preparing over $600M a year in new business proposals for Government product portfolios.
During his tenure as a Senior Program Manager for the Iridium Program in the Satellite Communications Sector, Max managed R&D professionals to drive project execution; generated roadmaps, project management plans, and processes; developed marketing and planning strategies and managed budget and operations activities; was responsible for over $300M in Motorola Iridium Projects on both the space and ground segments.
Serving as a Senior Program and Project Manager for Motorola Corporate Internal Consulting Group, he led and managed teams of business and technology professionals in the development and execution of products and services; generated program and project management plans and processes, resulting in improved resource management and utilization; among other activities, was the manager of Motorola Program Management curriculum for over 10,000 employees. Max retired from Motorola after 14 years of service.
