Experience:

As the president of his own consulting firm for the last eight years, John developed a successful consulting practice focused on utilizing process re-engineering, Six Sigma and project management to improve business results. The practice has consulted in a number of industries such as government electronics, manufacturing of printed wiring boards and printed wiring assemblies. During three years as principal consultant with Motorola University, he developed and managed relationships within supply management to identify and improve the performance of key suppliers. Worked closely with the leadership team in major corporations and the Department of Defense to identify the key measures of success, achieve alignment within the management team, improve all processes and identify projects to drive improvements in the performance metrics. John was also a program manager for the Motorola Space and Systems Technology Group where he provided leadership and management for the Government Acquisition Reform Program. Successfully managed cross-functional teams, in a matrix environment, working on large ($40M+ in annual sales) Government contracts with all branches of the United States military and international military services.

Among John's accomplishments are helping to reduce cycle time by 50-70% with improved quality; implementing Six Sigma practices on many projects; by improving major acquisition processes was instrumental in saving $50+ million on projects; reducing process costs by 20% by deploying new methodology regarding acceptance of goods and services for the Department of Defense; implementing a Naval Reserve repair program which saved over $1.5 million.
