With over 25 years of senior level experience with a record of achievement in Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, and Management Consulting. Dennis Sowards strengths include proven leadership and technical analysis in problem solving and group facilitation and the ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing technological and organizational environment.
As Manager of Continuous Improvement and Communications, Sowards was responsible for implementing improvement initiatives including FLEX, Lean Construction, 5S's, and root cause analysis.
As Quality Manager of J B Rodgers Mechanical Contractors he was responsible for all quality improvement initiatives and training, strategic planning facilitation and lead a Motorola's Quality Systems Review (QSR). When Dennis was a Quality Management Consultant his specialty was Training and TQM consulting. As Executive Director of The Arizona Quality Alliance he developed and implemented services to assist organizations in implementing TQM.
When Dennis was Manager Of Quality & Productivity Consulting with the Salt River Project in Phoenix, AZ he was responsible for quality improvement programs, management consulting, and Industrial Engineering studies. Also while with the Salt River Project he supervised Industrial Engineering/operations analysis studies including upgrading the of company's suggestion program, improving the inventory reorder system, economic evaluations on equipment improvements, rerouting meter reading and negotiating, administering and forecasting future prices of coal and fuel oil contracts.
