George Velenovsky is a passionate, dynamic practitioner of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools. He is well seasoned in classroom and one-on-one training delivery, curriculum preparation and coaching/motivation of students. A strong continuous improvement leader and facilitator, he has deep hands-on, "in-the-trenches" experience in problem solving and troubleshooting.

George spent over 30 years of his professional career at Johns Manville, a $2.5B global manufacturer of building and engineered products and a Berkshire Hathaway company. During that time, he interfaced with all functional areas and organizational levels of the corporation, from shop floor to CEO, and built a broad, diverse base of experience including product development, technical sales and service, manufacturing and operations, environmental, safety, quality management, and Lean Six Sigma.

George led the Lean Six Sigma training organization at Johns Manville and delivered all types of training, including Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Lean, Green Belt, DFSS and Minitab. He trained and coached hundreds of students, including over 350 Black Belts, and enabled project benefits of over $100MM. He also served as Deployment Champion and internal consultant for several corporate staff groups, assisting and leading them in project ideation and selection, as well as facilitating the implementation of a Lean Six Sigma culture.

George has a wealth of experience in project and program management, particularly in the areas of quality improvement, cost reduction and product development, and had led projects with cumulative benefits in the tens of millions of dollars.
