Cycle Time Reduction and the Student Registration Process at Washington University
Cross Functional Process Mapping at Washington University involved teams whose members were from every department including students, administration, staff and faculty. Cycle Time Reduction eliminated four separate processes and replaced them with a single, computerized open registration period, reducing the number of steps in registration from 176 to 16.
