Creative Thinking and Effective Decision Making M-725
DESCRIPTION:
Organizations often fail to develop winning strategies or creative solutions because the thinking process limits their options. This course identifies barriers to creative thinking both personally and culturally inside the organization. Participants create strategies for breakthrough thinking and practice "out of the box" thinking with a case study. A model is introduced which is driven by criteria and creative options instead of personal preferences with limited options. A case study using the model provides participants an opportunity to weigh criteria and make an effective group decision.
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Increase understanding about the factors that influence creative thinking and identify their own personal barriers.
- Utilize the "SCAMPER" model to increase their creative process.
